HSWC TO HOST ADOPTION EVENT AND PET PHOTO WITH SANTA FUNDRAISER WITH SHARRETT SUBARU

The Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC) will be partnering with Sharrett Subaru for the 5th Annual Adoption Event and Pet Photo Fundraiser on Saturday, November 17th from 11 am to 3 pm. The event will be held at Sharrett Subaru, 10310 Auto Place, Hagerstown. This year, adoption fees for cats are waived thanks to a generous grant from The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®). Dog adoption fees will vary.

“Sharrett Subaru is proud to partner with HSWC again this year. This event allows us the opportunity to support and give back to our community by helping animals to find their forever homes,” said Letti Palmer, Marketing Coordinator for Sharrett Subaru. “We are thankful to Subaru of America, Inc. and the ASPCA for their generous support.”

Animals available at the adoption event are able to go home with their new families that day. All animals will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated according to age, and microchipped.

“We can’t thank Sharrett Subaru enough for once again opening their showroom doors to HSWC and allowing us to bring in animals still awaiting their forever homes. This is always a fun event, and we can hardly wait!” said Teresa Dick, HSWC’s Corporate Partnership and Events Manager. “We also want to thank the ASPCA for approving a generous grant that supported preparing these loving animals for adoption!”

For the first time, Santa Claus will be onsite at the event for a pet photo fundraiser benefiting HSWC. The public is welcome to bring their pets to Sharrett Subaru for a professional photography session with Santa. Each session is $15 and additional donations are appreciated. A minimum of one digital image will be emailed to participants in time for gifts and holiday cards. No appointment is necessary and walk-ins are welcome.

Also thanks to the ASPCA, fresh popped popcorn will be available to attendees throughout the event, and new pet starter gift bags will be given to each adopted animal.
