Important Field Services Alert

Following exposure to COVID-19, HSWC’s Field Services Team is operating with a reduced staff. To ensure the safety of both our officers and the public, we are temporarily modifying our response protocols. For a short duration, our in-person response will be limited to the following:

- Sick, injured, or aggressive animals

- Animals without food, water, or shelter

- Requests for assistance by local Law Enforcement/Fire/EMS providers.

Animal cruelty complaints will initially be handled by phone and will then be addressed on a case by case basis. If safe to do so, we are asking that the public bring stray animals to the shelter during normal business hours (Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday 10-6; Wednesday 1-6).

Both the Field Services’ Mobile Building and the shelter have been deep cleaned. As such, the shelter will continue to operate as usual.

Please know that Field Services will continue to do everything possible to support the animals and you, our community, even if from afar. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time and will update you as soon as our response protocols have returned to normal.
