Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event & Fall-Themed Pet Photos
The Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC) will be partnering with Sheehy Subaru Hagerstown for the 7th Annual Subaru Loves Pets Adoption Event and Pet Photo Fundraiser on Sunday, October 18 from 11 am to 3 pm. The event will be held at Sheehy Subaru, 10310 Auto Place, Hagerstown. This year, adoption fees for cats are waived thanks to a generous grant from The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®). Dog adoption fees are $50.
“Sheehy Subaru is proud to once again partner with the HSWC to help support our community and help animals find their forever homes,” said Anthony Schifano, General Manager of Sheehy Subaru of Hagerstown. “To further show our support, Subaru of America will also be making a donation of $100 for every pet adopted throughout the month to this organization.”
Animals available at the adoption event are able to go home with their new families that day.
Adoptable animals have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated according to age, and given worm and flea preventatives prior to being placed up for adoption. HSWC also provides adopters with a complimentary health visit at a participating veterinarian, as well 30 days of free health insurance for their new family member. New pet starter gift bags will be given to each adopted dog, including a leash, collar, and pre-engraved ID tag. The first 10 cats adopted at Sheehy Subaru Hagerstown will be gifted with a soft cat carrier.
“We are so grateful to Sheehy Subaru Hagerstown for opening their showroom doors to the animals at HSWC once again,” said Anna Somers, HSWC’s Corporate Partnership and Events Manager. “Thanks to a very generous grant from the ASPCA, we will be able to find forever homes for many loving animals at this fun event.”
During the event, there will also be a pet photo fundraiser benefiting HSWC. The public is welcome to bring their pets to Sheehy Subaru Hagerstown for a professional fall-themed photography session. Each session is $10 and additional donations are appreciated. A minimum of one digital image will be emailed to participants. No appointment is necessary and walk-ins are welcome.
Masks and social distancing are required at the event.
