HSWC RECEIVES FUNDING AND RECOGNITION FOR VOLUNTEER DRIVEN ADOPTION PROGRAM

The Humane Society of Washington County (HSWC), a leading agency in the field of animal welfare, today announced the award of $4,500 in grant funding endowed by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).  The grant will fund the HSWC’s nationally recognized “Traveling Foster” program. The goal of the “Traveling Foster” program is to empower volunteers to foster as well as adopt out homeless animals.

The HSWC Will Be Closed on July 4th

The Humane Society of Washington County will be closed on Monday, July 4th in observance of the 4th of July Holiday.    Anyone experiencing an animal emergency regarding a stray or unowned animal during a this day may call our emergency number at 301-790-7577.  We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, July 5th.
