Dog Adoption Fees

Prior to taking your new canine friend home, they have received:
• Spay/Neutering (& post-op medication if needed)
• Microchipping
• Rabies Vaccine (if old enough)
• Distemper vaccine (every 21 days)
• Dewormer (every 2 weeks)
• Flea treatment (every 3 months)
• Bordetella vaccine
• Medication for treatment of various illnesses/diseases
• Often times corrective surgeries or procedures are required to help an animal live a better life free of pain or discomfort. (Examples: cherry eye surgery, eye removal, tooth extractions, amputations, etc.)
• Food/Water (often times specialized diets if required)
• Enrichment (toys, peanut butter Kongs, etc.)

In addition to the items listed above, upon taking your new canine friend home you will receive:
• ID tag
• Complimentary health exam by a participating Washington County veterinarian
• 30 days of complimentary pet health insurance

• 1 free week of GoodPup training. 20% off GoodPup training for life. 

• If a dog is currently on medication at the time of adoption, said medication is often provided to the adopter free of charge. 

Dogs must leave the shelter in a collar or a harness and a leash. Washington County Dog Licenses are $5.00 per year.​

Cat Adoption Fees

Prior to taking your new feline friend home, they have received:
• Spay/Neutering (& post-op medication if needed)
• Microchipping
• Rabies Vaccine (if old enough)
• Distemper vaccine (every 21 days)
• Dewormer (every 2 weeks)
• Flea treatment (every 3 months)
• Medication for treatment of various illnesses/diseases
• Often times corrective surgeries or procedures are required to help an animal live a better life free of pain or discomfort. (Examples: cherry eye surgery, eye removal, tooth extractions, amputations, etc.)
• Food/Water (often times specialized diets if required)
• Enrichment (toys, catnip, etc.)

In addition to the items listed above, upon taking your new feline friend home you will receive:
• Complimentary health exam by a participating Washington County veterinarian
• 30 days of  complimentary pet health insurance
• If a cat is currently on medication at the time of adoption, said medication is often provided to the adopter free of charge. 

Cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. You may bring your own or purchase one from our retail area. Cardboard carriers are also available for $8.

We offer a 20% adoption discount to all military personnel.
